Curry Appointed Chair of FSP Retirement Planning Section

Newtown Square, PA - Stephanie J. Curry, CLU, ChFC, CFP, Newport Beach, CA, has been named Chair of the Retirement Planning Professional Interest Section for the Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP). In this position, she is responsible for enhancing the overall value of the Section for FSP members.

Curry is Assistant Vice President for Pacific Life Insurance Company where she oversees the Retirement Resource Group, which assists brokers in individual case design and conducts continuing education seminars as well as client informational seminars. Over her 30 years in the industry, which includes work in sales and as a wholesaler, advanced life consultant, and advanced annuities consultant, Curry has sold a broad spectrum of financial products including annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, and property/casualty products. Her focus for the past 15 years has been on charitable giving and retirement planning strategies.  

A certified continuing education instructor in all 50 states and former editor of the Retirement Counseling Section Newsletter for the Society of FSP, Curry delivers presentations, seminars, and workshops on topics including annuities, retirement income planning, business continuation, philanthropic planning, and 529 plans. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Rhode Island in addition to her professional designations.

FSP offers its members nine Professional Interest Sections: Business & Compensation Planning; Employee Benefits; Estate Planning; Financial Planning; Investment Management; Leadership and Management; Risk Management: Life, Health, Disability, Casualty & Liability Insurance; Qualified Plans; and Retirement Counseling. Participation in one Section is included in membership dues. Each Section provides a quarterly newsletter, an e-mail list discussion group, online search capabilities, access to a national directory of members, and access to outlines from FSP educational events.
