Q. Where will Institute events take place?
A. All Institute activities and events will take place at the Wigwam Resort, except for the Wednesday night dinner. That will be held at The Old Pueblo Café, across from the Resort.

Q. Where do I pick up my registration material and name badge?
A. Registration will be open Sunday, January 26 from 5:00–7:30 p.m. Along with Registration, there will be appetizers, dinner, and open bar. (Your guest is also welcome to attend.)

Q. What can my guest/spouse attend?
A. Your guest can attend the Sunday dinner, Monday and Tuesday receptions, and Wednesday dinner for an extra fee. Your guest may also join you at the Sunday night Opening Reception, and Monday and Tuesday Q&A sessions at no additional charge. Guests are not permitted to attend the classes or lunches; they are for full paid attendees only.

Q. How do I make my room reservation?
A. Reservations must be made no later than Thursday, December 26, 2014 to receive the group rate. Reservations made after this date are subject to the resort’s space and rate availability. Call 800-327-0396 and request the “Society of Financial Service Professionals” rate.

Q. If I want to come early, can I still get the special room rate?
A. The special room rate will be offered 3 days before and 3 days after the Institute, based on availability. Because this is “high” season, we recommend that you book early.

Q. How many CE credits can I earn at the Institute?
A. You can earn up to 18 hours of Insurance and CFP credit, depending on your resident state (refer to the CE Credit info tab on this site for regular updates on your state’s CE credit approvals). You can also earn PACE, accounting, legal and banking credit. Be sure to bring your resident state insurance license number, CFP license number, or legal license number with you.

Q. How many people usually attend the Institute?
A. The Institute is capped at 115 people–the purpose for this is to make the Institute more like a study group than a conference. It gives attendees a better opportunity to talk to the speaker one-on-one and to get to know all of the other attendees. Due to the high caliber of the people who attend this meeting, this is an important element of the program.

Q. What is the dress for the meeting?
A. Sports or business casual clothes selected for comfort and informality will be the rule during the Institute week. Evenings can be very cool in January so you should pack a jacket. Because it is virtually impossible to have the room temperature perfect for every individual, please bring a sweater or light jacket with you to the classroom.

Q. I have special dietary restrictions. What should I do?
A. Contact Sherry Chester by email or by phone 610-526-2510 and tell her what you need. In order to give the Hilton enough time to prepare, please do this at least 3 weeks before the Institute.

Q. I’m thinking of bringing 2 people from my study group with me. Can we get a discount?
A. Anyone who has never attended an Institute qualifies for the First Timer registration rate: Society members - $1199; nonmembers - $1599. Also, if you are bringing a group of 3 or more people (including yourself) the entire group can receive a discount. See Registration Page for pricing. All participants must register together to qualify.

Q. My company might like to be a sponsor–what is available?
A. There are many opportunities to be a sponsor. Go to the Sponsorships area of the website for suggestions. If you have an idea for sponsoring something you don’t see there, call Sherry Chester 610-526-2510 to discuss your idea.
