PAUL S. MILLS SCHOLARSHIP
This flagship Foundation program awards annual scholarships to persons who have demonstrated a commitment to professionalism within the field of financial services.
Criteria
The criteria for selection for a Paul S. Mills Scholarship are:
- Commitment to lifelong education
- Commitment to ethical practice
- Commitment to volunteerism
Scholarship
An award of up to $2,000 that can be applied toward registration, airfare, and lodging for the Society of Financial Service Professionals' FSP Forum, FSP Arizona Institute, or other appropriate FSP educational program. The number of scholarships is based on the funds available in the Paul S. Mills Scholarship Fund and fluctuates according to the current interest income. Scholarships are available to both credentialed and non-credential candidates.
Selection Panel
The selection panel is composed of five to seven individuals as follows:
- Two to three representatives from the Foundation's Board of Trustees.
- One representative each from the FSP Professional Development and Membership staff
- One or two outside parties which may include FSP members who are not on either the Foundation or Society Boards; non-FSP members who would enhance the process; non-FSP staff. The appointment of outside parties is left to the discretion of the Foundation chair or president.

Nominations for the 2010 Paul S. Mills Scholarship program must be postmarked by July 19, 2010.
