Tom Petsche is president of Brokerage Solutions, Inc., in Cedar Rapids, IA, where he specializes in disability income and long-term care insurance for both individuals and groups.  A former national Board member and past president of the Eastern Iowa Chapter of FSP, Mr. Petsche has served as president of the local General Agents and Managers Association and has been active with the Cedar Rapids Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.  He also serves on the national Board for the International Disability Income Society.  Mr. Petsche currently serves as a mentor at Four Oaks Group Home for troubled children.

April Caudill is a Senior Advanced Planning Attorney for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, in Milwaukee, where her areas of expertise include qualified plans, ERISA, and distribution planning.  She is the author of a bimonthly pension planning column in the Journal of Financial Service Professionals and serves as an associate editor of the Journal.  In 2002, she was the first place winner of the Foundation’s Kenneth Black Jr. Journal Author Award.  She also served as the Managing Editor of Tax Facts at the National Underwriter Company, where she worked for 19 years.  Ms. Caudill is an active member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting.

Joseph E. Frack, CPA, CGMA

Joe Frack is Chief Executive Officer of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. A member of the AICPA, Mr. Frack is a graduate of St. Joseph's and Villanova Universities with degrees in Marketing and Accounting and served as a senior accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers and also held domestic and international finance positions at Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Frack recently retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve with the rank of Captain after over 30 years of service with Navy Intelligence.

Jim Lammers is a registered representative with Securities America, Inc., in Omaha, where he specializes in wealth management. In 2007, Jim was named NAIFA-Omaha’s agent of the year and is currently a member of the NAIFA-Omaha Board of Directors.  An active member of his community, Jim serves as a mentor for Boys Town, volunteers for the Nebraska Academic Decathlon, and is a 12-year member and past president of the Board of Directors of Community Alliance Mental Health Rehabilitation.  He was honored with a Paul S. Mills Scholarship in 2003 for his commitment to professional excellence.

Jayne Alford, CFP, ChFC, CLU
Tampa, Florida


Jayne Alford represents independent financial advisors to Pinnacle Insurance & Financial Services, LLC, in Tampa.  In this role, Jayne opens and guides cases to successful solution working in concert with the financial advisor.  Under her leadership, the Tampa Bay Chapter was awarded Gold Medal recognition for excellence.  Also, while serving in FSP Chapter leadership, Jayne was instrumental in the creation of the Financial Professionals Education Expo, a collaboration between NAIFA, FPA, and Society of FSP, that offers a full day of continuing education and networking opportunities for professionals in the Tampa Bay area.  Jayne and her husband actively support shut-ins and disabled veterans in their community.


James S. Aussem, JD, AEP
Cleveland, Ohio

Jim Aussem is a shareholder and chair of the Business Practice Group for the law firm of Cavitch Familo & Durkin in Cleveland.  His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, as well as estate and succession planning.  He is a past president of the Cleveland Chapter of FSP and currently serves on the Society of FSP’s National Advisor Team.  Jim is a frequent presenter to industry groups and professional associations, including the AICPA’s Advanced Estate Planning Institute, the Cleveland Tax Institute, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Northern Ohio Planning Giving Council.  He serves on the Planned Giving Committee of the Cleveland Museum of Art and is active with the American Cancer Society.  He was rated one of the best lawyers in America for the past three years by Martindale-Hubbell’s national peer review rating organization.




Richard A. Bell,
CLU, ChFC, CFP
Calabasas, California

Dick Bell is owner of Bell Financial, providing insurance and financial services to a wide variety of businesses and individuals for over 40 years. He spearheaded the FEP pro-bono project for the Foundation. Mr. Bell is a graduate of Northwestern University. He earned his CLU in 1969; ChFC in 1982; MSFS and CFP in 1984; RHU in 1992 and REBC in 2002. Dick works and resides in Calabasas, California and enjoys racewalking and tennis.

Lakeville, Minnesota

Jim Christian is President of Jim Christian, Inc. in Lakeville, Minnesota, where he helps  successful individuals navigate their retirement. He is an active leader in the Society of FSP’s Twin City Chapter and has served as co-chair of the Minnesota Business Ethics Award (MBEA) since 2000. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant credentials.  He enjoys scuba diving, woodworking and horseback riding.

Robert C. Coleman, CLU, ChFC
Tampa, Florida



Rob Coleman is the CEO and President of Signature Financial Solutions, LLC based in Tampa, FL.  The firm specializes in helping individuals, families, and businesses in the accumulation and protection of their wealth.  Mr. Coleman also serves as the firm’s registered principal with their Broker Dealer Signator Investors.  He is the past president of the Tampa Bay Chapter; during his presidency in 2006-07, the Chapter earned Gold Medal of Honor status in the Excellence in Chapter Achievement program. He is active in his community and has been Vice President of Town & Country Pony Baseball since 2008.

Michael J. McGlothlin, CLU, ChFC, CFP
Indianapolis, Indiana


Mike McGlothlin is senior vice president with Highland Capital Brokerage’s Annuities Division in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He holds the Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter and Certified Financial Planner designations. He is also a FINRA Registered Representative. A graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, Mike earned a double major from Indiana’s School of Business in Business Analysis and Business Economics and Public Policy.  He is an active member of FPA, NAIFA, and the Society of FSP, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors.


Richard M. Weber, MBA, CLU, AEP

Dick Weber is President, of the Ethical Edge, Inc., in Pleasant Hill, California, where he serves as a consultant to insurers and their agents on the topic of effective and ethical selling.  Author of more than 200 articles encompassing products, sales practices, and the due diligence necessary to buy and sell insurance, his newest book is “Revealing Life Insurance Secrets: How the Pros Pick, Design, and Evaluate Their Own Policies.” In 2009, Dick was elected to the NAEPC Estate Planning Hall of Fame and selected to receive the Distinguished Accredited Estate Planner award and designation.  He holds an MBA for the University of California at Berkeley and earned the CLU credential in 1974.

Anne Rigney serves as general counsel for the Society of Financial Service Professionals and associate editor for Keeping Current, a quarterly subscription service on estate and insurance planning topics. Ms. Rigney joined the Society of FSP in 1988, after completing a judicial clerkship in the Philadelphia Court of Common pleas. She is graduate of Villanova University and Widener University School of Law. She earned her CLU in 1990 and ChFC in 1992.
