I would like to welcome FSP members and guests to the 2012-2013 Chapter year!

The Board of Directors has planned a great beginning to the year with an exciting Fall lineup of informative and timely speakers on topics to equip ourselves with answers to current issues that will assist us in helping our clients with their planning in uncertain times.

September starts with a lunch presentation by esteemed Professor of Economics, Stephen Miller, Ph.D. His topic is Financial Crises and Recovery: Is Full Recovery in Sight? The date is Sept. 27th 12:30 pm to 1: 30 pm at The Tam Alumni Center UNLV.

On October 18th 11:45 am to 1:00 pm is a lunch discussion group with Mr. William Wright, President of Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Insurance Benefits. Bill’s topic will be The Good, the Bad, and, the Ugly of the Affordable Health Insurance Law.

On November 14th 10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m., the Society of FSP is presenting a nationally televised video teleconference entitled The Uniform Investor Act and Trust Owned Life Insurance-The Impossible Dream or a Match made in Heaven.

In January a Discussion Group of local Tax and Estate Planning professionals will lead a topic: New Planning Opportunities and Strategies for Business Owners and High Net Worth Clients under the Revised Income Tax and Estate tax Laws. Date January 24th 11:30 A.M.to 1:30 P.M.

February 20th 10:oo A.M. to 12:10 P.M. is the National Video Teleconference entitled, Health Care:  "The Times They Are A-Changing.
