Blue Ridge Chapter of the Society of FSP Named

Asheville, NC - The Blue Ridge Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP) has been named a recipient of the Gold Medal of Honor Chapter of the Year Award in the Society's 2012–2013Excellence in Chapter Achievement (ECA) program. The award is given to four Society Chapters throughout the United States that excel at building a strong local organization and offer exceptional services to their members and their financial community.

Frack, CPA, CGMA, chief executive officer of the Society of FSP. "The Blue Ridge Chapter is truly worthy of Chapter of the Year status. We congratulate the leadership team and members, and thank them for their outstanding contributions to the Society."

The Blue Ridge Chapter’s officers and board of directors include: William A. Chater, CLU, ChFC- President; Thomas G. Komara, CLU, ChFC-President Elect; Roderick P. Hansen, CFP, CLU, ChFC, AEP-Secretary/Treasurer; Douglas R. Franklin, CLU, ChFC; M. Haynes Dorn, CLU; and Michael N. Lewis, CLU, ChFC.
Each of the Society’s Chapters is eligible to participate. Winners are chosen from those submitting entries demonstrating the full range of services they provide to members and their financial professional community. Criteria include: leadership development, strategic planning, education, networking, membership, and technology.
The Gold Medal of Honor Chapter with the highest score in their flight based on the recruitment of new members and the retention of current members is named Chapter of the Year.Each Chapter of the Year winner receives $1,500 and receives special recognition at the Society’s annual Leadership Development Conferences and in Society Page, the national newsletter.
