Q. Where will Forum 2010 events take place?

A. Forum 2010 activities and events will take place at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek in Orlando, FL.

Q. Where do I pick up my registration material and name badge?

A. The Registration area will be open on Thursday, October 7, at 10:00 am in the Hilton's Bonnet Creek Ballroom Foyer. Registration will remain open everyday thereafter until the close of the Forum.

Important: Your name badge will admit you to all Educational Sessions, Professional Showcase Sessions, General Sessions, Opening Reception and the Exhibit Hall. Without a name badge, you cannot enter these functions. No exceptions can be made.

Q. When does the Forum begin and end?

A. The Forum begins with a CE General Session on Friday, October 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The Forum will end with a Closing CE General Session on Sunday, October 10, from 9:30 am to 11:45 am. The Foundation Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, October 10 at 12:30 pm at the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club which is located on-site at the resort.

Q. What should I do if I need to make changes or additions to my Forum registration after I have registered?

If you wish to make changes to hotel reservations, you must contact the Hilton directly at 1-888-353-2013. Deposits will be refunded for rooms cancelled more than three working days prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained. Guests wishing to avoid an early check-out fee (charged if a guest checks out before the reserved check out date) should advise the hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.

Q. What is the Forum cancellation policy?

A. Forum cancellations received by September 30, 2010, will receive a refund less a $100 service charge.

Q. How do I make my room reservations?

A. Reservations must be made before September 10, 2010 to receive the Society's special Forum room rate. Rooms can sell out before this date so make your reservations early. Reservations made after this date are subject to hotel's space and rate availability. All reservation requests will require one night's deposit by credit card, personal check, or money order. Deposits will be refunded for rooms cancelled more than three working days prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained. The group rate will be extended three days before and after the group block dates based on hotel's availability.

You have two ways to take advantage of the special group rates:

  1. Online at www.fspforum.com, "Hotel Options" using code ZSFSP for group rate.
  2. By phone: Hilton — 1-888-353-2013. Identify yourself as a Society of Financial Service Professional, and use code ZSFSP for group rate.

You will receive a confirmation directly from the hotel. Please review the information for accuracy.

Room Rates: $199 single/double occupancy; $20 for each additional occupant. Taxes are currently 12.50%. Applicable taxes are subject to change.

Q. What are the hotel check-in and check-out times?

A. Check-in and check-out times for the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek are:

  • Check-in 4:00 p.m.
  • Check-out 11:00 a.m.

Q. How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

A. The best mode of transportation from Orlando International Airport to the Hotel is by Mears Shuttle. Mears Transportation Group is offering a group discount to FSP Forum attendees. Forum attendees pay $29 roundtrip shuttle transportation to and from the airport. Regular one-way rate is $20.00 per person. Click here for the coupon and bring it with you to the Mears Desk located in the baggage claim area in the International Orlando Airport for your discount. Reservations can also be made directly on-line. Mears Transportation Group also offers sedan service for $78 one-way from the airport and $63 back to the airport, and includes meet and greet service, flight tracking, luggage assistance and a nominal gratuity of 5%. This is an option for those traveling together as you can share the cost. One-way taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is approximately $35.

Q. How can I get travel discounts for the Forum?

A. Airline Discounts
Delta Airlines is the official airlines of the 2010 FSP Forum and is offering discounts off the lowest applicable fares. Make your airline reservations by calling Delta at 1-800-328-1111, and refer to file number NM53M for the discount.

Southwest Airlines also offers an array of flights to Orlando at a discount when reserving on-line at www.southwest.com.

Discount Car Rentals
Hertz is the official car rental company for the Forum. For reservations, call 1-800-654-2240 and refer to CV #02LP0011 for Forum discount. You may also make reservations online at www.hertz.com, using the CV# for the discount. There is a Hertz desk located in the Hilton Bonnet Creek.

Q. Is there a dress code for the meeting?

A. Business casual is appropriate dress for most Forum events. A sweater or light jacket is suggested for air-conditioned meeting rooms.

Q. What activities are included in a guest/companion registration?

A. A registered guest/companion receives admittance to all Forum events and venues and special Guest/Companion programs. Spouses/guests registered at the special spouse/guest rate may attend CE sessions but are not eligible to receive CE credit. CE credit will only be issued to attendees paying the full Forum rate.

Q. How do I get PACE, CFP, state insurance, banking, legal or accounting continuing education credit for attending the Forum?

A. Most educational sessions will offer CE credit. In addition to these sessions, we are also offering Professional Showcase sessions, which may be eligible for select CE credits. (See session description for specific CE information.) Refer to the CE Credit Info tab on this site for regular updates on your state's CE credit approval and exceptions, as they are received.

Q. Will there be exhibits at the meeting?

A. The Exhibit Hall, featuring a variety of products and services, will be located in the Bonnet Creek Ballroom at the Hilton.

The Exhibit Hall schedule is as follows:

  • Friday, October 8 — 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Lunch included)
  • Friday, October 8 — 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. — Wine & Cheese Reception
  • Saturday, October 9 — 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Lunch included)

You must be present to win for all prize drawings in the Exhibit Hall.

Q. What activities are offered at or near the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort, and how can I make reservations?

A. The Hilton's Concierge can make reservations and suggestions for activities at the resort and for off-site venues. The resort offers golf, swimming, biking, jogging trails, spa services, kids programs, and several dining options on-site. Orlando has an array of local attractions including Disney World.
