There is a wide array of interesting topics to choose from, and the ability to assemble a group of individuals lets you extend and amplify the value of the program. When supporting material is provided, such as articles, web sites, etc., attendees can continue the dialogue when the program ends."

This program is brought to you by the Society's Employee Benefits Section

Program Overview

Health care reform is forcing consumers to make new decisions about their employer-provided health plans. Advisors too need to advise their clients about changes in their employee benefit plans. This program focuses on three areas of concern: (1) Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA); (2) Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) and PPACA updates; and (3) Café Plans and PPACA updates.

Attendees will learn:

  • HSA plan limits, qualified insurance plan deductibles, family deductibles, and employer contribution rules
  • HRA contribution rules, basic and combined plan designs, and how to work HRA with HSA plans
  • Cafeteria Plan components (the three types of Flexible Spending Accounts)
  • and putting Café Plans with HRAs or HSAs

Featured Speaker:

Linda Hines, ACBC, is the founder and principal member of EBAS, formally known as Employee Benefit Administration Services, LLC. Her firm concentrates on plan design, implementations and administration of FSA, HRA, HSA, COBRA and HIPAA for small employer group benefit plans. Linda has over 15 years experience helping employers control their benefit costs. Linda works with clients throughout the country and also consults for insurance companies, trade associations such as the NAABC and other TPAs.
