"FSP webinars have tremendous value for financial professionals. There is a wide array of interesting topics to choose from, and the ability to assemble a group of individuals lets you extend and amplify the value of the program. When supporting material is provided, such as articles, web sites, etc., attendees can continue the dialogue when the program ends."

Oct 22, 2014 ILIT Trusts: Fiduciary Roles and the Need for Skilled Trustees Lunch/Brunch Conversations
Free to Members
Speaker(s): E. Randolph Whitelaw, AEP (Distinguished)
Summary: Randy Whitelaw, recognized Trust-Owned Life Insurance (TOLI) placement and restructure expert with Trust Asset Consultants, will discuss irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs), which place fiduciary-level responsibilities on trustees—whether they are skilled or unskilled. Unskilled amateur trustees who serve as an accommodation to the grantor may be unaware that they have any administration duties and do not consider policy performance monitoring their responsibility. Whitelaw will explain how to resolve this problem and protect the interests of ILIT parties.
