Background
The Society is faced with a retention rate of approximately 86% which is excellent by association standards. However, our recruiting efforts are essential to supplanting natural member attrition and fostering growth. In order to increase the total number of members, the Society must recruit an additional (over current recruiting levels) 6-7% of total membership or close to 1,000 members while maintaining retention levels and existing recruitment performance.
Charge
- Strategic Guidance: Continue strategic guidance on nationally-sourced membership projects including on-line community, national membership network, and Premier Membership. Explore strategies to help Chapters use these new avenues to expand their recruiting efforts and success rates.
- Network Knowledge: Support group recruiting efforts through your personal network connections. Provide contacts and strategic direction for engagement with national and regional companies, producer groups, educational institutions, other associations in the field, and independent professionals.
- Technology: Actively participate in FSP on-line community resources and engage members and potential members through on-line discussion groups and other media. Suggest and help test new FSP technology resources for member engagement.
- Activities: Actively and energetically participate in membership recruiting and retention. Initiatives such as MGAM, Call Tracker and Membership Outreach Campaign.
Reporting Timeline
The committee is responsible to make ongoing (quarterly) reports to the Society's Board of Directors and measuring key area progress on an annual basis.
