Background:Upon the recommendation of a Sections Task Force, the standing Sections Committee was formed in 2006 with the following purposes: to nurture and grow "professional communities" with shared interests (creating a mutually respectful environment of multidisciplinary professionals); and to enhance the value of membership. The Society has nine Professional Interest Sections. The Society must review the purpose, benefits provided, member composition, cost, volunteer involvement and member interest level of our Sections. Charge:The Committee is charged with evaluation and recommendations for improvement of the Society's Professional Interest Sections. The Committee should also determine whether the Sections are meeting the needs of sufficient numbers of our current and prospective members. The Committee is also charged with evaluating and recommending ways to improve Sections programs and activities within the Chapters. Timeline:The Committee should be prepared to make reports to the Society's Board of Directors on a periodic (at least semi-annual) basis. Chair:Stephen F.
