The Family Office is an organization that supports the financial needs of a specific family or group of families. To effectively manage the wealth of the family, the Family Office evaluates the family’s goals and objectives, risk management, investment and tax issues. As more high-net-worth clients choose this way to manage their financial affairs, opportunities abound for financial advisers to target the unique needs of these clients. A thorough knowledge of the design and implementation of specific wealth planning strategies, including charitable giving and alternative investments, will help financial advisers expand their client base and exceed the expectations of their clients.
